The story of Langnese THE FIRST YEARS In the spring of 1935, the businessman Karl Seyferth imported the first ice cream on a stick from Denmark to Hamburg and as early as 1936 the company was registered as Langnese-Eiskrem GmbH and is now one of the largest ice cream factories in Europe. In the following year Langnese already produced 20 million "popsicles"! After ice cream production had to cease in 1940 due to a shortage of raw materials during the World War, the brand's success continued from 1948.
