On July 20, 1989, the first CentroBell Cosmética store was created on Calle Luis Doreste Silva, 54 in the capital of Gran Canaria.
María Isabel Martel founded the first store in the Canary Islands dedicated to the sale of professional hairdressing and beauty products, although it all started with her father, Don José Luis Martel, who in the 50s had created a company for the distribution of professional hairdressing products called "He and She" based at Calle Pérez Galdós, 42 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
María Isabel Martel, daughter of Don José Luis Martel, began to work with her father and forge her entrepreneurial spirit at the early age of 19 years to later found the CentroBell Cosmética stores.
