"Veterinary services are shared between the rich and the poor. Love animals and respect life."
idea
Hello, everyone! I believe that the friends who come here to browse are all people who care and love animals, and most of them will have experience in keeping pets. Pets, like humans, can be born, old, sick, and die. As a responsible owner, you must do your best to take care of them until they die well.
But have you heard stories like the following? Will it be your personal experience again?
"Older cats have declining kidney function, and their owners cannot afford expensive medical expenses and prescription food. They can only watch their beloved partner end the painful old age."
"The village dog who loyally guarded the house all his life was accidentally knocked down by a car. The blood transfusion and surgery cost more than 10,000 yuan. Whether the owner is powerless or powerless, the dog's fate is determined by money."
"A pair of very cute kittens had a problem with their skin, but when the owner remembered that the veterinarian's consultation fee would cost four or five hundred yuan for the medicine, he hesitated and delayed. Later, small problems continued to spread and spread. Finally, when there is no choice to bring the cat to the veterinary clinic, the medical expenses have doubled, and the pain of the cat and the owner has also doubled."
It is a blessing if pets are healthy and healthy throughout their lives and age naturally; but once they get sick, it is not easy to give them proper medical treatment with due diligence! The problem is the high veterinary expenses. People get sick with public medical benefits. Animals don’t. When the owner can’t afford or is unwilling to pay for medical expenses, what is sacrificed is the pet’s welfare and even life; and the uncomfortable, painful, and helpless things, of course, include The master.
How many pets who suffer from serious illness or are to be destroyed humanely can be "superficial Chinese medicine" in the first place; but are delayed due to medical expenses? And how many pets are abandoned every day because their owners cannot afford expensive medical expenses?
Why has it been our best friend, but has become our burden? Why can the richer people take care of their beloved pets, and the poorer ones are even burdened by vaccination? The animals themselves are helpless, but their owners are also helpless. We need universal veterinary services, we need a non-profit veterinary clinic.
We believe that the well-being of pets depends entirely on their owners. Only by truly popularizing veterinary services can the difficulties of pet owners be solved, and every pet, whether the owner is rich or poor, can receive the most basic health care and medical services from an early age; humans and animals can be happily harmonious Live together.
In every civilized society, pets play a very important role, this is almost beyond doubt. Pets and humans are good friends. Pets have improved our quality of life. We must give them the most basic right to live a healthy life. We are also convinced that most people in Hong Kong love animals, but they are often powerless. In the eyes of NPV, disadvantaged groups are not just animals, but pet owners who have difficulties.
mission
Existing charitable organizations that care for animals in the society only aim at how to protect the rights and interests of animals and ignore the difficulties of pet owners themselves.
We want to establish a welfare clinic for pets and pet owners. On the premise that as long as it can be self-financing, it uses the business model of separating medicine and provides veterinary services priced at cost. Citizens who could not afford expensive veterinary services in the past can now take good care of their pets and do all the health care and epidemic prevention, reducing the number of pets being delayed or even abandoned.
We also hope to use "non-profit veterinary clinics" as a platform to provide more social services. Through the social welfare sector, we can reach the elderly who live alone with pets, and provide services directly to those in need. We will also liaise closely with other animal-loving groups and animal shelters, and allocate resources appropriately to assist groups in need. For example, in the New Territories, there are many small-scale dog farms that take care of stray dogs. We will try our best to systematically neuter dogs in the community to reduce the social problems that breed cats and dogs in the community.
